EAR RINGING: 3 POSSIBLE CAUSES
EAR RINGING: 3 POSSIBLE CAUSES
Since a few days, you have the unpleasant impression that your ear whistles? You feel a pain in your ears? Whether temporary or permanent, tinnitus is the clinical sign of atrial involvement that can have several origins.
The wax plug
This is the most common explanation! Secreted in the external ear canal, cerumen assumes various important functions within the ear system. In addition to lubricating the duct, it also traps dander and other external dusts that could alter the hearing aid. If this natural wax is eliminated spontaneously with help, especially chewing, it sometimes happens that it is produced in excess and agglomerates within the external duct, causing an obstruction.
Atrial trauma
Prolonged exposure to loud noise can cause sound trauma. Concert, detonation, explosion ... Many situations are likely to lead to this type of particularly painful hearing accident, which is generally characterized by the occurrence of tinnitus and a temporary loss of hearing. According to the experts, exposure to a loudspeaker greater than 150 decibels, if only a few milliseconds, is enough to damage the hair cells located in the inner ear.
High blood pressure
Tinnitus is, in some people, a symptom of hypertension, that is to say a blood pressure higher than normal values. This clinical manifestation may have, in this specific context, several causes. The sensation of having the ears whistling can, in fact, be induced by the high blood pressure exerted within the blood vessels. It can also be generated by the anti-hypertensive drugs themselves.
